Krüger ATF Dexron VI is a synthetic transmission fluid for automatic gearboxes and hydraulic power steering systems. Dexron VI is the sixth generation of the General Motors specification, developed for multi-speed automatics with a torque converter and lock-up clutch. The core requirement of the category is friction performance that does not drift over time. It is exactly that drift which causes shift shock and lock-up shudder on worn fluid. The fluid holds viscosity both at cold start and under overheating in traffic or while towing. Foam resistance is critical in an automatic: air in the fluid means pressure loss in the valve body and clutch slip.
